minimum requirements
○ A high school diploma or GED
○ Must be at least 18 years of age
○ Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting check successfully
○ One (1) year of childcare experience (if applicable)
our employment steps
1. Download an application and a background check. Federal law requires childcare providers to submit requests for background checks for each staff member. This form is a legal document that must be filled out completely and correctly. The information will be submitted to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS) for verification.
2. Submit your application and background check. Once completed, upload your application, background check, and resume when you fill out the Apply Now! form.
3. We will review your application along with your background check before scheduling an interview. If your qualifications fit the expectations of our job description, along with successfully passing a background check, we may offer you a position.
4. If we offer a job to you, you must complete a fingerprint-based background check through IdentoGO Texas Daycare Licensing. You will receive an email from them with instructions on how to schedule your appointment directly with IdentoGO. The cost is approximately $45. Lago Vista Academy will cover the fingerprinting fee. You’ll need an official photo ID and your Social Security number. Once you have met the state’s requirements to begin work, we will coordinate the date for you to begin work.
